Coming to McCordsville in 2024!
Rebar Development is bringing modern apartment homes to McCord Square—the new downtown development district in the Town of McCordsville.
McCord Square Apartments is a $31 million two-building, multi-use community with 11 micro-commercial suites on the first floors and 205 one- and two-bedroom apartment units on the upper floors. The two buildings will flank either side of the newly-constructed Civic Green.
The McCord Square Apartments will offer spacious floor plans, modern kitchens, in-unit washer/dryer, and private balconies with views of the new downtown district. The community amenities will include a cafe, resort-style courtyard, work-from-home lounge, pet park and spa, wellness studio, and indoor bike storage.
Construction is underway on the apartments is slated be complete in 2024 with pre-leasing activities kicking-off in December 2023.

Indiana University Health has broken ground on a new location at McCord Square in McCordsville, an outpatient physician office development that will offer primary care, OB/GYN and cardiovascular services.
Announced this week, NineStar Connect plans to develop a new building at McCord Square, marking the second project formally announced in the 48-acre Town Center development. Anchored by McCord Square Apartments, additional projects are in the works for the new downtown district.
Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers joined officials from the town of McCordsville and Fishers-based Rebar Development to break ground on the first phase of the $50 million McCord Square Downtown District. The first phase features the construction of a 205-unit apartment complex that will also include commercial and retail space. “This groundbreaking is the next big step in creating a new identity for McCordsville,” said McCordsville Town Council Vice President Larry Longman.
In an interview with Inside INdiana Business, Longman said the district is a long time in the making.

The creation of a downtown McCordsville could start with a pair of buildings featuring hundreds of apartments and neighborhood and several thousand square feet of retail, restaurant and office space. Rebar’s McCord Square Apartments will include two 111,000-square-foot mixed-use buildings standing four stories tall, with a total of 206 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 6,000 square feet of commercial space.
Located on the southeast corner of Broadway Avenue (S.R. 67) and Mt. Comfort Road, the development, called McCord Square, is a partnership between the Town of McCordsville, Rebar Development, and Pride Investment Partners. McCord Square accomplishes many goals set forth in the Town Center Development plan, including the creation of a defined, vibrant downtown district with a unique identity. McCord Square will diversify the tax base and is expected to add $50 million in assessed value by 2025.
